TXCPA Houston has been a trusted professional community for Certified Public Accountants (CPA) in the greater Houston area for nearly a century. With 7,000+ members from a 13-county area, TXCPA Houston is the largest CPA chapter in Texas. The Chapter has a reputation for action, integrity and competence as the result of the strong leadership of our friendly volunteers.

The five-person staff works closely with State and Chapter volunteer leaders to deliver educational programs, networking events, community and student support activities, and other resources to help its CPA members perform at their greatest capacities with the highest integrity. The Meeting Planner and Events Manager will also handle logistics for monthly member meetings, webinars, and events.

Located in the Uptown/Galleria area of Houston, the Conferences and Meetings Planner position offers opportunities for an association professional to create a valuable educational and networking landscape for CPAs within a fast-faced environment.

Company History

TXCPA Houston is an independent chapter of the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants started in 1928. It was founded to help Houston-area CPAs achieve high standards of performance and trust when delivering services to the public, nonprofit organizations or individual businesses. Today, its 7,000+ members actively support accounting students by awarded $100,000 per year in scholarships. They also support local children by providing grants to pre-k-12 school programs through its CPAs Helping Schools program. Members also actively participate in community service activities including blood drives, park cleanup days, Habitat for Humanity, the Houston Food Kitchen, and many other charitable efforts.

TXCPA Houston values the talents and contributions of all of its members. We are committed to promoting diversity, equity, inclusion, and a sense of belonging in the workplace, in membership, and in the accounting profession.

Notable Accomplishments / Recognition

TXCPA Houston has awarded over $2 million in scholarships to accounting students enrolled at Houston area colleges and universities. It has granted over $350,000 to local pre-k through 12th grade schools to help fund STEM and reading programs that benefit children in the Houston area.
