Milken Institute
Company Overview
The Milken Institute is one of the world’s leading economic think tanks. We are a nonprofit, independent, economic research organization founded on the principle that we can improve people’s lives around the world by creating more democratic, efficient and forward-looking economies. We put research to work with the goal of revitalizing regions and finding new ways to generate capital for people with original ideas. To carry out several of those objectives the Institute produces hundreds of events and six major conferences on an annual basis. Please visit our website www.milkeninstitute.org to review our past and upcoming events. We offer an excellent benefits program including medical/dental/vision, LTD, life, flex-spending program, 403(b) tax-deferred savings and a company gym. We’re four blocks from the beach.
Company History
The organization was founded in the early 1990s by philanthropist and financier Michael Milken and his brother, Lowell Milken, as the Milken Institute for Job and Capital Formation. Its original focus on the interaction between education and job growth has expanded to include a much broader research agenda over the years.
