The Senior Project Manager, Live Events develops strategic plans to advance company's Live Events mission and achieve revenue, profitability, and organizational growth. This position serves as the face of Sunbelt Rentals during load in, show days, and load out. The Senior Project Manager, Live Events ensures the events/projects are completed on time, safely and within the scope agreed. The core duties of the Senior Project Manager, Live Events is to safely coordinate the load in process, maintain Sunbelt equipment during the build and show days, and manage the load out process until all Sunbelt equipment has left the site. The Senior Project Manager, Live Events also manages all of the Project Manager, Live Events team members with tasks ranging from scheduling lodging, hands on training and evaluations, to managing travel schedules to ensure we meet our commitments to the customer.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical, project, and people leadership to the teams responsible for the design and execution of large event projects.
  • Review and oversee schedule and procedures for completing key deliverables.
  • Lead a safety council and instill/enforce safety mindsets for all team members.
  • Perform job site analysis, preventative maintenance, create and manage employee schedules and project completion schedules, reviewing designs, and creating proposals.
  • Plan and oversee implementation of design for installation (Load In), Repairs, and maintenance of equipment. Maintenance of all rental assets on the project to ensure they remain operational and running, with immediate servicing/repairs of any assets.
    • Maintains a clean and safe work environment.
    • Update, maintain and keep organized equipment service records.
    • Create, update, close and bill work orders.
    • Disposal of Solid and Hazardous Material Waste (Batteries, used oil & filters, antifreeze, wash sludge)
  • Reporting to include:
    • Equipment due for service - Equipment Service Record Reporting - Open work order report - Shop foreman performance tool - Work order charge back
    • Daily check-ins with Strategic Customer Support Representative assigned to each project.
  • Communication with customer and event representatives onsite, direct project installation and tear down (Load Out).
  • Proficient in securing (managing) travel and accommodations, remaining within the companies travel policy.


Education & Experience:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Equipment certifications for: AWP - Aerial Work Platform, Forklift and Basic Diesel engine repair.
  • Project Management experience required.
  • Working knowledge of Wynne Equipment Management
  • Ability to effectively and safely use mechanic's tools and equipment to diagnose and trouble shoot complex equipment problems.
  • Extensive experience and comfort in the repair and maintenance of typical rental construction equipment: self-propelled platforms, forklifts, light towers, manlifts, and utility vehicles.
  • Ability to travel as role is 100% travel based.
  • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.
  • Proven customer service skills to listen and concisely communicate so that expectations are identified and accomplished
  • Strong Leadership presence to oversee delegating tasks to workers, subcontractors and other site/live event managers.
  • Demonstrated time management and organization skills to meet deadlines within fast-paced environments.
  • Trade school or college degree (bachelor or associates) preferred.

Physical Demands:

Must be able to bend, squat, crouch and/or reach and lift up to 25 pounds or more, as required by the job. Some Sunbelt jobs may require driving for long periods of time, loading and unloading heavy equipment, performing work in extreme weather conditions including rain, wind or excessive temperatures and/or night and weekend work. All duties must be performed according to Sunbelt's safety policies and guidelines. Reasonable accommodations may be made to comply with ADA/ADAAA.
