- Monona Terrace Event Services Manager
Description
Monona Terrace Community and Convention Center is looking to hire an Event Services Manager with a high standard for customer service to lead the dedicated staff within the Event Services team. This is responsible professional supervisory and event coordination work developing operational policies, systems and procedures, and performing and/or overseeing the performance of all event service activities. The work is characterized by great attention to detail, the exercise of independent judgment, overall supervision of events, the coordination of multiple tasks at one time, collaboration with other work units within and outside the Convention Center, and maintenance of high standards of customer service. The work is performed under the general supervision of the Monona Terrace Associate Director.
The standard work schedule is 38.75 hours per week and this position is eligible for overtime compensation.

Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
Four (4) years of responsible experience coordinating conventions, consumer shows and banquets, including at least one (1) year of experience involving responsibility for planning, organizing, coordinating and supervising/leading major events in a multi-faceted facility.
OR
Three (3) years of responsible experience coordinating conventions, consumer shows and banquets, including at least one (1) year of experience involving responsibility for planning, organizing, coordinating and supervising/leading major events in a multi-faceted facility.
AND
Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) certification or degree in business administration, hotel and restaurant management, public administration, or other closely related field.
